How it works

How the tools work

Both tools turn a few answers into artwork in Health Canada's format. You see a preview as you go; the print files are made when you download.

Nutrition Facts table

  1. Write the serving size: the household measure in English and in French, and the metric amount.
  2. Enter the nutrient values for one serving of your product.
  3. The generator rounds each value, calculates the % Daily Values from Health Canada's Table of Daily Values, and draws the bilingual standard table.
  4. Choose the largest table size that fits your package, and English or French first, then download SVG or 600 dpi PNG.

FOP nutrition symbol

  1. Say whether your product is exempt from the symbol, and whether it's a main dish.
  2. Choose the package shape and enter the front panel size. The tool works out the principal display surface area. For a cylinder, that's 40% of the height × circumference.
  3. Choose the “High in” nutrients that apply.
  4. Download Health Canada's symbol at the size that matches your package, with placement guidance. Vertical versions are used when the horizontal one is wider than your front panel.

Before you print

These tools make drafts from the information you give. A label must be correct for your product, so have it checked by professionals before it goes to print: Nexsure label review.

Your data

Your answers are worked out in your browser and kept in this tab's session storage, so a refresh doesn't lose them. “Start a new product” clears them, and so does closing the tab. When you download a Nutrition Facts table, the serving size and nutrient values are sent to Karimont's server to draw the file; they aren't stored. See Privacy.
